Automate repetitive tasks

Three automations cover most maintenance: feed refresh, daily briefing, and cleanup of old entries. This guide sets them up.

Check the defaults

Every account already has feed refresh enabled: it runs every 30 minutes and keeps all feeds updated. Open the Automations page to see it listed with its schedule and last run.

Add a daily briefing

Create an automation of the briefing type and schedule it before you wake up, for example 6:30 on weekdays. It collects the latest entries from your feeds into one short summary you read with coffee.

Clean up what you stopped reading

Old entries pile up. A cleanup automation deletes entries older than the days you choose, per feed. Start conservative, for example 60 days, and tighten later once you trust it.

Every run writes to the log. When something looks off, the log is the first place to check, not the settings.
